Demi Lovato Tweets Support for Catherine Zeta-Jones

Catherine Zeta-Jones went public with her battle against depression earlier this week, and young star Demi Lovato has her back. Lovato, who recently completed a stint in a rehab facility for unspecified mental and emotional hardships, Tweeted her support of the actress.

She wrote: "I don't know Catherine Zeta-Jones personally but what she has decided to do it SO brave.. And SO difficult but worth it... I'm proud of her"

Catherine has revealed that she checked into the Silver Hill Hospital in Connecticut last week where she was being treated for Bipolar II disorder. She was there for five days, and was said to be suffering from a huge amount of stress related to caring for husband Michael Douglas, who lost 32 pounds in the last year while fending off throat cancer.

Catherine's representative said: "After dealing with the stress of the past year, Catherine made the decision to check in to a mental health facility for a brief stay."

For her part, Demi recently thanked her fans for helping her get through the "darkest" time in her life. On Thursday she emphasized that it was important for people to be in touch with their emotions.

"Never be ashamed of what you feel," she wrote. "You have the right to feel any emotion that you want, and to do what makes you happy. That's my life motto."

Demi Lovato: 'I'm Very Peaceful Now'

Demi Lovato has learned a lot about herself since last November, when she entered a rehab facility in Chicago to help her through an eating disorder and a nervous breakdown. After her three months of treatment she now has a healthy outlook on life and her situation.
aused her to enter rehab: "I basically had a nervous breakdown. I was really bad off. My parents and manager pulled me aside and said, 'You need to get some help.' It was an intervention. I wanted freedom from the inner demons. I wanted to start my life over."

Now the Sonny With A Chance star is looking forward to returning to work and says she has made vast changes to how she lives her life.

She explained in an interview with Seventeen magazine: "I allow myself a lot of freedom and I'm very peaceful now. I have come to realize that just making yourself happy is most important. Never be ashamed of what you feel. You have the right to feel any emotion that you want, and to do what makes you happy. That's my life motto."

Demi Lovato Has Revealed She Was in Rehab for an Eating Disorder

Demi Lovato very quietly entered and exited an undisclosed Chicago rehab and has since remained very mum about her stay in the center, only citing "personal and emotional" reasons. The 18-year-old Disney star has now opened up to Seventeenabout her battle with an eating disorder, which she calls a "life-long disease."

“I wish I could tell every young girl with an eating disorder, or who has harmed herself in any way, that she’s worthy of life and that her life has meaning. You can overcome and get through anything," she said.

The newly healed actress feels stronger after leaving the center in January, but knows she will battle the disease for a lifetime and is ready to face the challenge.

“Yes, there have been times when I definitely have been tempted to get rid of my dinner. But I will deal with it for the rest of my life because it’s a life-long disease. I don’t think there’s going to be a day when I don’t think about food or my body, but I’m living with it, and I wish I could tell young girls to find their safe place and stay with it," she said.

Kudos to the star for publicly dealing with -- and helping provide valuable insight about -- such a private, isolated disorder that is often harbored inside. Demi encouraged any young people dealing with similar issues to avoid inflicting "harm on your own body because your body is so sacred" by seeking solace from family and friends rather than keeping it within.

Demi herself is working on her own happiness, which she is pursuing by dismissing others' insecurities, emotions or opinions. That's one hell of a pursuit of happiness if we've ever heard of one.

Demi Lovato Reveals Inspiration Behind Wrist Tattoos, Returns to Twitter

Shortly after she was released from treatment facility in late January, Demi Lovato has got herself permanent tattoos on both of her wrists. The "Sonny with a Chance" star has recently spoken out about the new inks. In a new video message, she revealed that her fans are the inspiration behind one of the body arts.

"The journey that I went through and the support of my fans was so meaningful to me that I wanted to thank my fans in a way that I know can never be forgotten," the 18-year-old songstress told Cambio. "So I went ahead and I got a little heart tattoo on my wrist." Pointing to her right wrist, she said, "Together they say 'Stay Strong,' but this one has a heart."

Demi continued to explain, "It's something that my fans were actually drawing on their wrists while I was still in treatment. Some people even got tattoos of it, so I wanted to show you guys that I will never forget the support that you guys gave me." She concluded with a promise, "I will look at it every day and remember you guys and be completely thankful for you."

In another news, the former girlfriend of Joe Jonas has returned back to Twitter. In her first tweets after months deactivating her account, she simply wrote, "Guess who's baaaaaaaack...!!!!!!!" Short while later, she posted, "I love you guys SO MUCH... this support is UNBELIEVABLE!! I'm tearing up I'm so thankful..."

Demi Lovato's 'Sonny with a Chance' Gets New Title

TV bosses have changed the name of Demi Lovato's comedy series "Sonny with a Chance", sparking rumors she has been permanently dropped from the cast. The singer/actress, who plays the title character, was admitted to rehab in 2010 to address undisclosed personal problems and she was written out of the program when it became clear she would not be able to return to filming in January this year.

Disney bosses insisted Lovato's departure was temporary and she would be able to rejoin the cast once she was well enough. But it has now emerged the show's name will be changed to "So Random" for its third season, fueling rumors Lovato's exit will be made permanent.

Her co-star Brandon Mychal Smith says, "With a show like ours, and any great show that I've seen in the past, like The Wire or Seinfeld, each season you focus on a different concept, a different theory, or maybe a different character's background."

"Season one we established who we were - you saw some mini sketches, you saw who the characters were and how they mingled and intertwined. Season two you were able to see more of the relationship between Sonny and Chad and how they got into it and how we didn't like it, and you saw some of Mackenzie Falls and that aspect."

"And now this season you'll be able to see So Random, see why we are where we are today in regards to being the teen idols that we are. You'll be able to see how we bring the funny (sic) every week."
