Charlie Sheen has pledged to donate a portion of the proceeds from his live stage shows to help those affected by the Japanese earthquake. An 8.9-magnitude tremor hit the country on Friday, March 11, triggering a tsunami which has left more than 2,000 dead, and many more still missing.
"Pain & devastation in Japan demands us all to dig deep & LOVE THEM VIOLENTLY," Sheen stated and posted a message on his Twitter page after the disaster.
And now he's vowed to help out financially, by promising to donate $1 from the sale of every ticket to his upcoming stage shows to the Red Cross relief fund. A post on his website reads, "One dollar from each ticket to 'My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat is Not An Option Show' LIVE will be donated to the Red Cross Japanese earthquake relief fund."
Sheen's April dates in Detroit, Michigan and Chicago, Illinois sold out in minutes when they went on sale on Saturday, March 12
